Need more comments guyz. So now TIMTAM just shows my selected images. The Complete film scan section is no longer held on the v3space.com server, because of space restrictions, These scans are available on www.webshots.com and mirrored on Sonys' www.Imagestation.com (my images are at http://www.imagestation.com/members/timtam and http://community.webshots.com /user/murrayj128 respectively) Ahh, back to the land of the living. Arrived in Australia once again after having spent the previous 6 months summering in the Northern Hemisphere. So expect more frequent updates as soon as I am able to get plugged in. Slight behind the scenes reorganisation so some thumbnails may break in the process. nbci has shut down so timtam moving to new server. Will be in the UK soon (Mar 2001) so Bronte project will be on hold for a while, but hey, at least the European and London galleries will get some updates. As most ppl, except for those directly involved in the process, would find them of little interest, they have a section of their own, click on the Fuji film box lower left to access. The better images will make it into the LATEST section and then subsequently will be filed in the appropriate category after a short time.. Things you should know:- the bulk of my past images are on slide film. Which basically means will never see the light of day, because my scanner - UMAX Astra 610S- can't handle slides. One or two slides have been printed on paper and therefore do appear here. Most portraits were shot on negative film and so for now there will be a disproportionately large number of them online, making me more like a people photographer. Don't get me wrong people photography is most satisfying. The older images presented here are scans of standard machine prints, and in one or two cases colour laser copies, so don't expect the very best in digital fidelity. Where necessary the resultant scans where compressed and enhanced slightly for web viewing.. Here and there I have cropped images, but in majority what you see is what I saw through the viewfinder. As I write (Jan 2001) I am in Sydney and have found a most economical way of processing negative film straight onto CDROM. Consequently I have now virtually overloaded my space on the web with almost touch much of my own photography. I guess you can now be the judge and see what I am choosing to present in the galleries, perhaps you agree with my choices perhaps you don't. Drop me a line.. with your comments
And talking of cameras; I use a variety of
Canon EOS bodies (600's and RT) and lenses. I like shorter focal lengths
toward 28mm side of things, I also hardly ever use autofocus, relying on
hand or hyperfocal focussing. I am thinking of digital photography, but is
it good enough yet? Might even go APS, or otherwise just a little more
